PAF to ensure effective Air Defence: Air Chief
SARGODHA: Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force said that nature of the threat continues to change and we must continue to focus on maintaining our existing assets fully operational & employ all resources optimally to ensure effective Air Defence of our country.
He expressed these views while addressing a simple and impressive ceremony conducted at Combat Commanders’ School, PAF Base, Mushaf in Sargodha to graduate the participants of Combat commanders’ Course.
The ceremony marked addition of yet another elite group of combat pilots and Air Defence controllers to the mainstream operational units of the Pakistan Air Force.
Speaking on the occasion, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force said that nature of the threat continues to change & with it the aerial warfare is becoming more complex. The application of air power under new threat dimensions, at different levels and modes would demand utilization of PAF resources to the maximum and test our resolve. It is for this reason alone, that our force structuring and operational training must continue to evolve progressively to meet the future challenges.
While addressing the faculty and graduates, he stressed that although our quest to modernize PAF continues, we must not fall short of our resolve. Besides our modest effort at modernization we must continue to focus on maintaining our existing assets fully operational & employ all resources optimally to ensure effective Air Defence of our country. With realistic training and resolve, PAF will continue to contribute significantly in the national defence.
He concluded by stating that combat training in the PAF is being maintained at the highest pedestal of realism and responsiveness to meet all contemporary challenges. He expressed his satisfaction over the training and safety standards of the PAF and CCS.
