Government Playing Constructive Role in Balochistan Socio-Economic Uplift

As a geographical pivot of
history, Pakistani geopolitical location has always been significant for the
global players. Within Pakistan, the Province of Baluchistan has immense
geo–strategic significance in the emerging international political and economic
order. This God gifted province, has immense natural resources with
traditionally proud and strapping manpower.
Minister Nawaz Sharif asked dissident Baloch leaders to lay down arms and support
his government’s efforts to develop Baluchistan province
. PM urges unity among Baloch tribes for the sake of development in the province . In this regard, government extends full
financial and moral support to the provincial govt in Baluchistan. PM directed
the provincial Chief Minister to ensure the best possible development work in
coordination with the army and government to make Baluchistan economically
viable. It is a time for Baloch leadership and their Sardars, Nawabs to take
advantage from this and ensure that a common Baloch must reaps its benefits.
Baluchistan Chief Minister
Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said that the federal government has allocated Rs45
billion for Baluchistan under the Public Sector Development Projects. He said
that there is complete harmony among the coalition partners in provincial
and all issues are being resolved through consensus. Dr Abdul Malik Baloch
also appealed to the people of Baluchistan to unite for the welfare and
development of Pakistan. He said the people of Baluchistan are attached to
Pakistan and will play their role. He also called for promotion of education in
the province.

At government level,
huge amounts were allocated for province development and there is an
opportunity for Baloch leadership, their polity and influential Sardars /
Nawabs to embrace the new realities that are being presented through the
democratic process. Baloch leaders therefore should try to create climate
conducive to investment, so that employment opportunities are there to be
availed by unemployed youth of Baluchistan. The media should play its role in
highlighting the events and developments taking place in Baluchistan by Pak
Army and government.
